The State Legislature, with a final vote of approval by the House of Delegates, has completed action on a bill to curb the activities of the Ku Klux Klan in Virginia. It was sent to Gov. John S. Battle, who originally recommended the measure, for signature.
Meanwhile, a bill which would outlaw advertising which discriminates against persons because of religion was killed in committee. The anti Ku Klux Klan bill adopted by the legislature would prohibit the wearing of masks, and the burning of crosses on public property, and on private property without the consent of the owner or occupant.
