Emigrants from the Ukraine and White Russia will not be required to secure a transit visa at Moscow, the New Tork office of the Idgescom informes the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, correcting this Agency’s recent report that emigrants would recquire no visas whatever. According to the Yidgescom representatives here, only the necessity of proceeding to Moscow has been obviated, emigrants being able to apply in Gharkov, Kiev, Odessa and Minsk.
The American bureau of the Idgescom reports the receipt of the following cable from Moscow:
“A decree of the Soviet Government published in the official Izviestia provides that persons who suffered in pogroms, and emigrants in dire circumstances are released from payment of passport fees, which every emigrant from Russia has had to pay. This decree was adopted following the representations by the Yidgescom”.
