Vladimir Zhirinovsky was not harassed at the Frankfurt airport over the weekend, according to German officials. The Russian ultrananationalist had made the charges after he was detained briefly during a trip through Germany to a meeting in France. A spokeswoman said Zhirinovsky, who is not allowed to visit Germany because of racist and anti-Semitic remarks he made on previous trips, was allowed to continue on to France after his passport was investigated by immigration officials.
