Three American Jews from Dallas have contributed $490,000 for the construction of a vocational school, at Lydda, to be named the Zale Vocational School, it was announced today.by Joseph Meyerhoff, chairman of the Israel Education Fund of the United Jewish Appeal.
Mr. Meyerhoff made the announcement at ceremonies at Lydda for the start of the school’s construction, attended by Mr. and Mrs. William Zale, of Dallas, who represented the Zale Foundation which contributed $390,000 for this purpose. Morris B. Zale, of Dallas is president of the Foundation. Additional $100,000 was given for the building of this school by another Jewish leader from Dallas, Jacob Feldman, who also made his gift through the Israel Education Fund, Mr. Meyerhoff said.
