Dr. Rober L. Johnson, head of the State Department’s International Information Administration, announced yesterday that broadcasts in Hebrew would be eliminated as part of an economy move. At the same time he made known that similar “Voice of America” broadcasts in French, Portuguese, Malayan, Thai, and Spanish broadcasts to Latin America would be terminated.
