Voice of Palestine Radio is promoting an alternative version of the killing of the 10-month-old Israeli baby last week in Hebron. According to Palestinian radio, Shalhevet Pass was killed not by a Palestinian sniper but by her own mother, who wanted to be rid of the child because Shalhevet was retarded. An official at Israel’s Foreign Ministry said the report proves “just how low the Palestinians are willing to go in order to win world public opinion.”
