The struggle in Germany has only begun, according to Dr. Siegfried Lipschitz, editor of the New Yorker Volkszeitung, who spoke Saturday evening over Station WEVD. Dr. Lipschitz was formerly American representative of the German Social-Democratic Press Service.
“Those who speak of a German government should beware,” said Dr. Lipschitz. “There is no government in the universally accepted sense. The economic basis has dwindled to almost nothing. Grumblings are heard everywhere. The middle-class is discouraged and rapidly disintegrating. The tension has become too great. It is a sickening and almost unbelievable spectacle.
