A memorial to the late Dr. Hayim Greenberg, a leading philosopher of labor Zionism, member of the Jewish Agency executive and one of the outstanding intellectual figures of the contemporary Zionist movement, is contained in the current issue of "Megillot," a Hebrew language review of Jewish education and culture published by the Department for Education and Culture of the World Zionist Organization in New York. Dr. Greenberg died here on March 14, 1953.
Contributors to the memorial issue include Zalman Shazar, A. J. Heschel, Professor Salo W. Baron, Professor S.H. Bergman, Professor H. Bavli, Professor Israel Efros, M. Hadas and Gabriel Preil. The issue also contains an essay by Dr. Greenberg, "The Golus Jew. "
Three volumes; of Dr. Greenberg’s works in Yiddish are being published posthumously. They are "Jews and World, " "Page from a Diary" and "World and Personalities. " A collection of his essays in English was published this year under the title "The Inner Eye. "
