Dr. Selman A. Waksman, Nobel Prize winner and director of the Institute of Microbiology at Rutgers University, will get a special award from the American Jewish Congress for his services to mankind, it was announced today by Dr. Israel Goldstein, AJC president. The award to the discoverer of streptomycin will be made at a dinner to be held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel here November 10.
