The trial of Joseph Bleimeyer, an employe of the Pennant Stationery Company charged with having sold a package of German made thumb tacks from which the stamp, “Made in Germany,” was removed, has been postponed Friday until September 6.
The defendant appeared Friday in the Fourth District Magistrate’s Court on Fifty-seventh street, near Lexington avenue, to plead for adjournment. Charges were made by the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League and are pressed under the terms of the new Wald Act, which provides penalties for the removal, defacing or changing of marks of origin on imported goods.
