“Aryanism” hasn’t been carried 100 percent into the want ad sections of Berlin newspapers, the local Deutsche Zeitung indicated in a reprint of a column of such advertisements contained in a recent issue of the Berliner Tageblatt.
The Deutsche Zeitung explained it was republishing the ads to let readers “draw their own conclusions” on the extent to which anti-Jewish discrimination is being pressed in Germany. Among the want ads included in the list were.
Single daughter, fine appearance, 26, intelligent, energetic…seeks Jewish husband.
Advertising salesman sought by large Jewish book concern.
Aryan business man seeks a good manufacturing business to buy or lease.
Department store expert, Non-Aryan, first class, good organizer, experienced in textile buying, seeks position.
Fashion house, well known, wants to sell out to an Aryan business man.
Prominent, well run Berlin grain commission firm, Non-Aryan, member of the Bourse, wants to establish a branch agency.
Quick sale, fine dwelling…Bartsch and Goldberg.
