Residents of Kiryat Arba urged the government today to start settling Jews in the neighboring Arab town of Hebron. Leaders of the Kiryat Arba community, meeting at a press conference, called upon the government to confiscate 12 Arab houses which were owned by Jews in the past, and move Jews into them.
Meanwhile, women from Kiryat Arba are still occupying the old Hadassah building in Hebron. Last week, the Military Government allowed them free passage to and from the building. The ban on entry of others — including newsmen — is still in force. The women want the building to be the first to be resettled with Jews.
