According to a report in the London Morning Post today, the German Nazis are hunting for a poet laureate. Baldur von Schirach, leader of the Nazi youth groups, who is heading the “hunt,” has requested contestants to attach photographs to the manuscripts they submit.
Commenting on the demand for photographs, the Morning Post said that this was not actuated by the desire to have the winner look like a poet, but by Nazi fears that they may inadvertently award the prize to a “non-Aryan.”
