A proposal urging the Nazi government to prohibit non-Aryans from owning buildings in Germany, was made today by William Moderson, Nazi Commissar for real estate in greater Berlin.
TORGSIN PRICES REDUCED
Prices in the Torgsin stores in the Soviet Union, established for the convenience of foreigners with relatives and friends in Russia, who send them orders, have been greatly reduced in recent months, the American offices of Torgsin announced. Prices in the 1,500 stores, which have been established in 1,000 Russian cities, are now on a level with American prices and in certain cases even below American price levels.
The Torgsin stores, which it is said sell anything from automobiles to toothbrushes, sell only for foreign currency of for Torgsin orders purchased abroad.
TWO PALESTINE TOURS BY CUNARD LINE
The Cunard liner Aquitania will sail on two direct tours to Palestine during the winter season, according to an announcement by the Central Steamship Agency. The liner, one of the largest and most luxurious in the trans-Atlantic run, will sail from New York on January 21 and will leave on the second tour March 7, reaching Palestine in time for the Passover holidays. Dietary laws will be observed on both sailings.
