The local war chest drive ended today with the goal of $3,300,000 over subscribed. The Jewish Welfare Fund, exclusive of defense fund requirements, this year was merged with the war chest campaign. “Cincinnati Jewry is again proud of its generous response to this year’s appeal to shoulder its responsibilities for local, national and foreign relief needs,” Alex Frieder, chairman of the Jewish Welfare Fund, stated.
