War damages registered to date with the Ministry of War Sufferers exceed $28,000,000, with Jerusalem alone accounting for $8,400,000 entailing damages incurred by industrial, agricultural and commercial establishments, it was reported today.
The registration of war damages does not include, however, damages suffered by national institutions, local municipal councils, major enterprises like the Dead Sea potash works and the electric companies, as well as Jewish property in the Arab held Old City of Jerusalem, which is estimated at $19,600,000.
