The war-time development of the Hebrew University was outlined here today at the opening session of the first meeting of its Board of Governors to be held since the outbreak of the war. Dr. Chaim Weizmann was chairman.
Meanwhile, reports reaching here from Jerusalem say that Dr. Judah L. Magnes president of the university, did not come to London to attend the meeting because of the rejection by Dr. Weizmann of a suggestion by Magnes that executive power over all the institutions affairs be placed in the hands of the university president and Weizmann.
