The Felix M. and Frieda Schiff Warburg Foundation announced a contribution of securities valued at $250, 000 to the “Adopt-a-Project” campaign of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York.
The gift will provide scholarships and fellowships in the field of social work to prospective students. It will also provide funds for faculty members to take refresher courses and additional studies. The announcement of the contribution marked the 85th anniversary of the birth of the late Mrs. Warburg.
The “Adopt-a-Project” campaign, is a general program undertaken by the United Jewish Appeal to make special provision for specific areas of need in Israel–namely, consolidation of agricultural settlements, mental health and scholarship.
