Felix M. Warburg will be the guest of honor December 9 at the tenth anniversary dinner of the Bronx division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies at the Hotel Commodore, according to an announcement last night by Max J. Schneider, chairman of the 1934 dinner committee of the Bronx division.
Mr. Schneider pointed out that nearly a decade ago, the initial “launching” dinner of the Bronx division was held with the philanthropist as guest of honor.
“As the man whose name is associally most closely with the seventeen-year history of Federation, which he helped found and has done much to maintain, Mr. Warburg is our inevitable choice for this anniversary dinner,” the chairman said.
Attendance at the dinner will exceed 1,500 the men making arrangements for the event hope, according to Mr. Schneider. Among the sponsors are Aldermanic President Bernard S. Deutsch, Secretary of State Edward J. Flynn, Supreme Court Justice Harry Stackell and District Attorney Samuel J. Foley.
