An exhibit of illuminated manuscripts from the National Museum and various private collections has been arranged at the museum. Proceeds will be used for the aid of victims of the recent floods.
The wife of Marshal Pilsudski, Polish statesman, presided at the opening exercises of the exhibition, which includes an outstanding example of Hebraic art, the Darmstadt Hagada. There is also an original manuscript of the “Jewish War” by Josephus Flavius, dating from the fifteenth century.
