Neither the East nor the West any longer remembers the sacrifices of the fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto, Dr. Noah Barou, chairman of the European executive of the World Jewish Congress, declared here last night at a commemoration meeting sponsored by the Polish Ex-Servicemen’s Association.
Dr. Barou charged that in Germany–both East and West–former Nazis were being permitted to return to political life. He observed that there was an “almost sentimental approach” to war criminals responsible for the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of human beings. He decried the rearming of Germany without binding guarantees against German militarism.
