A special campaign to raise funds which will enable German-Jewish refugees stranded here to proceed to Palestine will be inaugurated shortly, it was announced by the United Jewish Aid Committee.
Very few German Jews have found it possible to earn their livelihood here and for most of them Palestine is the only hope. A number of families which came here in the hope of finding orientation already have certificates of entry into Palestine but lack the necessary passage money, the committee declared. Efforts will be put forward to increase the quota of certificates available for refugees and their kin, since relief agencies here, as well as in France and other countries, are greatly hampered in their work by lack of funds.
