Warsaw Law Deprives 1,000 Jews of Livelihood

No longer will the well known cry. “Handel, handel,” the equivalent of the American. “I cash clo” be heard in the streets of Warsaw and through the yards of the houses.

A new ordinance forbidding street trading in old clothes has been promulgated. One thousand Jewish traders, who earned their livelihood in this way. will be affected by the new law.
