About 200 Jewish beggars, men, women and children, protesting that they were being discrimnated against in a round-up of all beggars, staged a demonstration in front of the Warsaw kehilla house and attempted to break into the rabbinate.
The Jewish beggars declared that while non-Jewish beggars got off much more easily, they were being sent to prison, where they were forced to take sups that were not kosher and their beards were shorn.
The Rabbinate decided to appeal to the magistrate concerning the matter.
