Norman Bentwich, associate of James G. MacDonald, League of Nations High Commissioner for Refugees will be the guest of honor at the opening here May 8 of the campaign of the United Jewish Appeal.
Prof. Bentwich is expected to review the progress made in rehabilitating refugees from Germany, with special emphasis on the plans for the settlement overseas of the victims of Nazi anti-Semitism in Palestine and elsewhere. Complete plans for the raising of Washington’s quota are to be formulated at a meeting at the home of E. I. Kaufman, cochairman.
