The United Jewish Appeal 1962 campaign in Washington is running ahead of totals for last year over the same period, campaign officials reported here today. Pledges made at an advance gifts dinner last night, plus individual gifts which “appear to be 40 to 50 percent above 1961,” have put this year’s drive well ahead of last year, the officials noted. The Washington area’s 1962 goal is $2, 500, 000.
