High Commissioner Sir Arthur Wauchope will return to Palestine before the coronation exercises, Colonial Secretary Ormsby-Gore announced in Commons today.
Sir Arthur, he revealed, had not come to England on leave, as officially stated, but on special request of the Colonial Office. He declared John Hathcrn-Hall, Palestine Chief Secretary, who is in charge of the administration in the High Commissioner’s absence, enjoyed the confidence of the Colonial Office.
