High Commissioner Wauchope promised an additional two hundred Palestine visas immediately for German Jews able to meet financial requirements, in an interview with Emanuel Neumann, American member of the Palestine Executive of the Jewish Agency. The interview took place just prior to the High Commissioner’s departure from Palestine for London for a month on account of the illness of his sister.

The strike at Petach-Tikva has ended with an agreement reached by all parties.
