The Roumanian Government has introduced a strict censorship over the post and telegraph, prohibiting the sending of news concerning the recent anti-Semitic outbreaks in Bucharest, according to people who arrived here from Bucharest, which they left a few days ago.
They further report that after the jury aqquitted the 8 students accused in the anti-Semitic conspiracy, a mob of 2,000 students sympathizers of the Fascisti Organization, started a reign of terror in the Jewish quarter of Bucharest. Jewish men, women and children were attacked with clubs and knives and crus of “Kill the Jews.” Many Jews were badly mistreated, and some are reported missing. Jewish newspaper offices were attacked and destroyed. The Government was compelled to send out tropps to protect the banks in the city, but the soldiers, instead of looking after the Jewish population, fraternized with the anti-Semitic students.
