S. M. Stein of Chicago, a wealthy manufacturer, died in his suite at the Ambassador Hotel from a heart attack. He was sixty years of age, and at his bedside were his wife and his secretary.
For many years it was his custom to visit California during the winter season.
His body is being sent to Chicago for burial.
