A century of discord between the Hassidic courts of Satmar and Vizhnitz was temporarily forgotten yesterday at the resplendent wedding of two descendants — Aharon Teitelbaum and Shoshana Hager — in Bnei Brak.

The bridegroom is the son of the Admor of Siget and is the most likely successor to his great uncle, the Admor of Satmar, who has no sons. The bride is the youngest granddaughter of the Admor of Vizhnitz. Seven thousand followers of all courts streamed to Bnei Brak to celebrate the marriage ceremony which was held outdoors. The couple will stay with the Vizhnitzers for three months and then take up residence in the United States.
