Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, held a conference today with leaders of the World Mizrachi Organization, orthodox Zionist group, to discuss the religious situation in Palestine.
Among the subjects touched on during the parley were: enforcement of kosher food laws in the communal kitchens of the Palestine Labor Federation, enforcement of Sabbath regulations in Jewish National Fund colonies and a proposed government budget for Jewish ecclesiastical courts.
Dr. Weizmann expressed his interest in the religious problems and stressed the importance of coalition between the Mizrachi and other Zionists. The recent World Zionist Congress in Lucerne, Switzerland, adopted a resolution providing for Sabbath observance in farms factories, buildings and colonies supported by Jewish national funds observance of kashruth in the labor kitchens and empowering the Zionist Executive to enforce the resolution.
