The Board of Governors of the Weizmann Institute of Science adopted a 3,850,000 pound budget for 1956-57, at a meeting here last night. All except 300,000, which was set aside for capital construction, will be devoted to operational expenses of Israel’s leading scientific institution.
Meanwhile, Dewey D. Stone, chairman of the Board, announced the election of Frederic R. Mann of Philadelphia, Charles Gutwirth and George Sagan of New York, to the board, as well as the reelection of Harold Goldenberg of Minneapolis as treasurer and Meyer Weisgal as chairman of the executive council.
