Queen Elizabeth II was represented by the Lord Chamberlain at a memorial service for Dr. Chaim Weizmann held at St. Johns Wood Synagogue here this morning.
Also represented at the services were Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Foreign Minister Anthony Eden and other members of the government and the Mayor of London. The chief mourners were Mrs. Benjamin Weizmann, daughter-in-law of the late President, and David Weizmann, ten-year-old grandson of Dr. Weizmann.
Among the other guests were tens of diplomatic envoys, including 18 Ambassadors, the High Commissioners of four British Commonwealth nations, 11 Ministers and others. Many Privy Councillors were present and the Parliamentary delegation included such figures as Clement Attlee, Clement Davies, Leopold Amery and Lords Nathan, Samuel and Strabolgi. Leaders of all major Jewish organizations and Britons representatives of all walks of national life attended.
