“Der Voelkische Beobachter,” organ of the anti-Semites, known for its distortion of facts concerning Jews, gave its readers another demonstration today of its rich imagination.

The anti-Semitic journal reports in all seriousness that the throne of Hungary has been offered to Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization. The newspaper states that the report recently circulated that the former Hungarian Minister of Justice Nagy and the publicist Rakosi are advocating Lord Rothemere as a candidate for the Hungarian throne is not accurate. The truth of the matter is, that these two gentlemen have offered the throne to Dr. Weizmann. The newspaper adds that this was done because of the hope that with “Jewish influence,” Hungary may succeed in bringing about the revision of the Treaty of Trianon, which curtailed its territory.
