Israel President Chaim Weizmann today emphasized the importance of the Jewish National Fund and pledged to do everything in his power to help the J.N.F. in its current programs. Dr. Weizmann made these remarks at a ceremony in his office at Hakiryah where he was presented with a special volume of the J.N.F. Golden Book.
The volume contains 2,084 inscriptions from Jews in Israel and 22 other countries, each of which was entered on the basis of a $100 contribution. Proceeds from the drive as reflected in the special volume will be used for the construction of housing quarters at the Weizmann Institute, in Rehovot.
