Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Board of Governors of the Hebrew University presided yesterday morning at the session which opened the meeting of the Board and the Academic Council.
Dr. Judah L. Magnes, Chancellor of the Hebrew University, delivered a lengthy address which described the present situation of the University.
A general debate followed. The afternoon session was attended by Sir Herbert Samuel, James Rothschild, Dr. Selig Brodetsky, member of the Zionist Executive in charge of political affairs, and Norman Bentwich, former Attorney General for Palestine. Professor Ornstein, Chairman of the Academic Council, presided.
