Appeals Judge living Lehman president of the Jewish Welfare Board, will preside at a panel discussion on “The Jewish Center in Changing Order” at an annual meeting ot the organzation to be held Sunday, February 25, at the Y. M. H. A. building, Ninety-second street and Lexington avenue The discussion will be led by Harry L. Gluckman, executive director of the board. Others participating will be Benjamin J. Buttenweiser, Meyer Bloomfield, Harry J. Applestein, Bernard Semel, Frank L. weel, president of the “Y”; Louis Kriegel and leon J. Obermayer.
The discussion will be preceded by a morning session in which delegates from 290 constituent societies, Jewish community centers and Y. M. and Y. W. H. A. ‘s throughout the country will participate. following the presidential address by Judge Lehman, Dr. Cyrus Adler will report on the work among the soldiers and sailors in the United States Army and Nave. Mr. Butten veiser will report on the organization’s finances and M.r Gluckman will review the activities of the Jewish Welfare Board during the past year.
Moritz M. Gottlieb, Albert Rosenthal, Samuel Sidman, Michael A. Stavitsky and M. Maldwing Fertig, presidents of regional federations affiliated with the Jewish Welfare Board, will aso speak.
The delegates will be welcomed by Mr. Well. Following the morning session the delegates will be tendered a reception and luncheon. The evening will be given over to the finals in the national oratorical contest for Jewsih Centers, sponsored by the Jewish Welfare Board. The participants in the finals will consist of the winners in the preliminary oratorical contests conducted by the five regional federations in the territories of New England, Pennsylvania and Middle Atlantic Sates.
