The 77th annual convention of District Grand Lodge No. 4 of B’nai B’rith has pledged the “voluntary, practical and uncompensated service” of its 14,000 members on the West Coast to the Government for preservation of American institutions. The convention adopted an eight-point Americanism program.
The delegates cheered a message from National President Henry Monsky pledging B’nai B’rith and affiliates to “make any and all sacrifices our government may call upon us for.” Henry Weinberger, San Diego, was elected president of the district.
