Ten countries in western Europe were represented at the annual meeting of the European Union of B’nai B’rith, which ended its four-day session here today.
Dr. Edwin Guggenheim, of Zurich, president of the European Union of B’nai B’rith, presided. Other speakers included Dr. Leo Baeck, of London; Chief Rabbi Marcus Melchior, president of the lodge in this city; Leo Fischer, Scandinavian representative on the Union’s executive committee; and Maurice Bisgyer, of Washington, D.C., general secretary of B’nai B’rith. Mr. Bisgyer stressed the necessity of using all efforts to increase international peace and understanding.
