West German Minister of the Interior Gustav Heinemann yesterday promised an investigation of the government’s hiring policy following charges by a Social Democratic deputy in the Parliament that the government had hired persons who had planned the extermination of Jews.
In the course of his presentation of general charges of discrimination in hiring by the government, the Social Democrat, Adolf Arndt, cited the employment of two former leading Nazis, Drs. Kurt Blobke and Emil Erich. Arndt charged that both had participated in the preparation of the Nazi program for extermination of the Jews.
