A loan of a billion deutschemarks ($250, 000, 000) will be granted by the Government of West Germany to the United Arab Republic, it was announced here today by the Economic Ministry.
Yesterday, after two days of negotiations by Vice Premier Boughadi of the UAR, and Ludwig Erhardt, West German Minister of Economic Affairs, it was decided that West Germany would finance the construction of the Euphrates dam in Syria, as well as other industrial projects in the UAR.
Chancellor Konrad Adenauer announced today that he plans to visit the UAR next year.
