A first hand study of the problems of Jewish DP’s Europe, including adjustment to the “rapidly changing political situation in West? Germany,” will be conducted by Harold Glasser, director of the Council of Jewish ?erations and Welfare Funds’ Institute on Overseas Studies, who departed this week ? a six-week tour of Europe, it was revealed today by the CJFWF.
Glasser, former Assistant Director of the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office ? International Finance, will study vocational training programs for Jewish DP’s and ? movements of Jews from one part of Europe to another. He will interview government and agency officials in European countries in order to compile information for ? use of American Jewish committee in planning future aid, and will consult with ? William Haber, advisor on Jewish affairs to the U.S. Military Governor, Gen. ?ius D. Clay, on all aspects of the DP problem.
