When informed by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency of the sudden death in Berlin of Dr. Ludwig Tietz, German Jewish leader, Felix M. Warburg said: “I was deeply schocked to learn of the sudden death of Dr. Tietz. He was in the very center of unselfish Jewish activities in Germany. His devotion and leadership will be sadly missed in these hard times.”
