“white Book” Exposes Anti-semitism of Hungarian Refugees in Germany

A “White Book” exposing the anti-Semitic and anti-democratic activities of Hungarian refugees in Germany was published here today by the Social Democratic Party and the International Association of Socialist Emigrants, alleging that a notorious anti-Semite, Arpad Henney, heads the international fascist organization which has its headquarters here.

The organization is “Hungaristaszorvany.” Henney is reported by the “White Book” to have been a close friend of the late Ferenc Szalazi, Hungarian “Cross and Arrow” leader, who was executed in 1946 after conviction of having committed war crimes.

For more than a year, the Bavarian Jewish Community here has been demanding the banning of anti-Semitic periodicals issued by the Hungarian fascists. Two of the periodicals, “Cel” and “Hidverok,” continue publication and are being distributed from the Munich headquarters to fascist Hungarian groups abroad. Judicial authorities here have said repeatedly that the laws here do not permit confiscation of the periodicals, in spite of the fact that there is a specific law in Bavaria forbidding slander of national or religious groups.

A protest against publication of fascist Hungarian literature here, and its distribution by members of the anti-Semitic, “Cross and Arrow” group, was made here to the government last week by the Organization of Social Democrat Emigrants. The same group of Hungarian refugees has also been accused of distributing anti-Semitic literature.
