Delegates from 300 cities and towns attended today a huge conference held in the Jewish Community building in order to protest against the stoppage of Jewish immigration to Palestine. Telegrams of protest were received from more than one hundred communities. The conference decided to submit a memorandum of protest to the British embassy and to forward copies to the British government, the House of Commons and the Mandates Commission of the League of Nations.
Excitement among the Jews of Poland has reached an unusual degree. At no time in the history of Polish Jewry have such scenes as stormy protests from every part of the country been witnessed.
