Mrs. Louis D. Brandeis, widow of the late Supreme Court Justice, died here this morning at the age of 79.
Mrs. Brandeis had been active in Jewish and non-Jewish charitable and communal organizations for over 40 years, and was a pioneer in the struggle for woman’s suffrage.
Born in Brooklyn, she moved to Boston after her marriage to Louis Dembitz Brandeis in 1891 and lived there until 1916 when Judge Brandeis was named to the Supreme Court.
