Lawrence A. Wien of New York, chairman of the board of trustees of Brandeis University, said here last night that he was contributing $2.5 million on the tenth anniversary of the Wien International Scholarship Program, to expand its activities. The gift brought to $7 million the funds he has set aside for the program. The new contribution will enable the university to admit a minimum of 100 Wien scholars each academic year. There are now 56 Wien students in residence. Mr. Wien announced the new gift at a banquet celebrating the program’s first decade.
