American movies featuring Jewish stars will not be prohibited in Germany, it was announced here today by Hans Hinkel, Prussian Commissar for “non-Aryan” Culture.
Hinkel’s announcement stipulates, however, that the producers are “clearly and honestly” to state in each case which of the authors, directors or actors are Jews.
Hinkel’s order explained that each American film will be submitted to censorship in order to eliminate parts that are offensive to Germans.
