The Brooklyn Jewish Center Review, a monthly published by the Brooklyn Jewish Center, 667-691 Eastern parkway, has undertaken to establish a library containing books which were burned by Nazis in Berlin last year.

For the present the collection will be housed in the library of the Brooklyn Jewish Center. As it grows, other arrangements will be made for it. A similar library has been established in Paris, which now consists of 15,000 volumes, and another is being organized in London by the Countess of Oxford and Catheart.

The purpose of such libraries is to preserve in readily accessible collections books outlawed by the Hitler government.

An appeal has been made calling upon every one interested in the preservation of such cultural contributions to assist in the collection of these books and to send to the office of the Brooklyn Jewish Center either the books or a contribution to cover the cost of their purchase.
